During her leadership at the DKP, to become mayor, Surabaya became more beautiful and well-organized than ever before, greener and fresher.

City Planning
The city parks built by Risma are the restoration of the bungkul park on Jalan Raya Darmo with the concept of all-in-one entertainment park, the park at the Dolog Roundabout, the Undaan fruit park, and the park at Bawean, and in several other places that used to die now every night filled with residents of Surabaya. In addition, Risma also built a pedestrian path with modern concepts along the Basuki Rahmat road, which then continued to Tunjungan, Blauran and Panglima Sudirman.

Taman Bungkul Incident
On May 11, 2014, the Wall's ice cream company under the auspices of PT. Unilever Indonesia held a free ice cream distribution event for the people of Surabaya. This event was held in Taman Bungkul. Free ice cream distribution is done in the middle of the park. Residents then flocked to the point of distribution of ice cream to break through plants. Even bicycle vehicles also step on the plants there. Conditions are getting out of control, roads are getting stuck, and crops are badly damaged.

Police & Satpol PP then dispersed the event around 10:00 WIB.

Shortly thereafter, Risma came to the location. She then became furious when she saw the condition of the plants in Bungkul Park. As soon as she arrived she commented that all plants were damaged. Without further ado, she immediately approached the organizers of the ice cream distribution program. "Do you know how long we need to make Taman Bungkul beautiful?!," She said in a high voice. Risma then asked her staff at the City of Surabaya Sanitation and Parks Department to report the event's organizer to legal action. He asked his staff to use the law on environmental destruction as a basis for the report.

PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, as the organizer of the free Wall's ice cream distribution program at Taman Bungkul, Sunday, May 11, 2014, is ready to take responsibility and bear all the costs of losses suffered by the Surabaya City Government. The park damage incident due to the increase in the number of residents who came was an event that was not predicted by the organizer.

Area Sales Manager of East Java PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, Dion Aji Setiawan said, it did not expect that, the enthusiasm of Surabaya citizens for free ice cream was very high. From the organizing committee, only 10,000 were prepared. But, visitors came to reach 70,000 people. In fact, there are also many visitors who come from outside the city of Surabaya. "We will make this event a lesson. We will soon go to Mrs. Risma. We will repair all existing damage, " he said
